8-day longcase clock with painted dial featuring Daniel in the Lion’s Den in the arch and Temples in the corner spandrels, by a Carmarthen maker, circa 1840.
The most unusual and individual case is made of pine grained in imitation of mahogany. The hood is particularly dramatic with a bold swan-neck pediment and twisted pillars with carved capitals, over a shaped and panelled trunk door surmounted by a carved frieze on a base with cut-out feet.
