Antique Welsh oak coffer from Carmarthenshire, circa 1770. The front of this particular coffer features four gothic shaped raised panels above a pair of drawers, attached to square panelled sides. The front is decorated with inlay patterns of the type associated with West Wales, the panels featuring flowing plant forms emanating from vases and pinwheels, the drawers having a chequered line terminating in lozenges
